Under the general supervision of the Materials Management Manager, the Bilingual Customer and Order Support role is responsible for all Customer and Order support for the company. Enters Customer purchase orders daily, prepares various reports, schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Download customer sales orders
    • Enters/aligns customer purchase orders – responsible for all sales order entry
    • Handles all customer service inquiries
  • Order Support
    • Track customer orders via internet
    • As a back-up, assists in creating work orders to support customer requirements
    • As a back-up to Purchasing, issues purchase orders and assists in correspondence
  • Purchasing (In a back-up capacity only)
    • Place orders for raw materials (steel, stampings, etc)
    • Backup to steel purchasing in the absence of Purchasing Manager.

Employment Standards

  • Education/Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Customer and Order Support in a manufacturing environment required
    • Bilingual in Spanish required
    • Exceptional customer service and communication skills required
    • Proficient with computers and proprietary software are also required.
  • Knowledge:
    • Customer service and order processing principles, procedures and documents; types and sources of materials, supplies and equipment. Commonly used correct English and Spanish, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
