Well established metal tubing fabricator in Kirkwood, Missouri has an immediate need for a Production Scheduler.


  • Develop and execute Production Schedule to maximize plant efficiency and meet customer delivery schedule.
  • Integrate activities of external vendors into the production schedule.
  • Assist with analyzing current and future customer demand against corporate capacities and make recommendations on resources.
  • Assist with planning and execution of physical inventories as needed.
  • Develop MRP proficiency utilizing various reports and seek out improvement opportunities.
  • Requisition raw materials.
  • Other related duties as requested.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitor daily – production schedules, shipping and receiving schedules, backlog and backorders.
  • Monitor weekly – customer sales orders, and inventory (Raw, WIP, and FG).
  • Assist with coordinating and communicating late deliveries with production departments and customers.
  • Assist with maintaining data integrity of the MRP system with respect to sales orders, purchase orders, production work orders, and inventory.

Key Interfaces:

  • Meet daily with production departments to discuss problem areas.
  • Communicate regularly with customers.
  • Work closely with internal and external groups during startup of new programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in production scheduling, supply chain management, material management, or related fields with strong manufacturing knowledge.
  • Experience in production planning and requisitioning preferred but not required for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of MRP (Material Resources Planning) systems helpful. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products a must. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Candidate should also have the aptitude and desire to work closely with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and other disciplines. Flexibility, initiative, attention to detail, and adaptability are all essential requirements to successfully perform in this environment.
