Well established and still growing metal tubing fabricator in Kirkwood is seeking a Regional Sales Manager.

Job Description

Under the general supervision of the President, is responsible for the Sales and Marketing of Bohn and Dawson. This position will increase sales in existing markets: define new markets offering sales and profit potential; maximizing the practical utilization of the manufacturing capabilities of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

To represent the company with a sales perspective and marketing strategy for each account to further our sales opportunities; travel to each major account to understand our customer’s wants and needs and communicate implement change within Bohn and Dawson service to our customers to increase sales. Make sales projection; prepare budgets; project profitability; invent market strategies; understand fabrication techniques; prepare quotes of products; outline market definitions and strategies as they relate to specific markets; manage sales force, prepare literature and brochures; attend appropriate conventions with literature and displays. Work with inside project managers to achieve these objectives.

Organize and manage sales force by providing structure, discipline and resources to the outside sales representatives. Hiring and firing of sales agencies to represent Bohn and Dawson follow up systems on quotes and sales activities; track sales by agencies and provide feedback and direction to the sales force. Provide sales incentive programs to generate new sales in old markets and new markets. Travel with each product manager, and sales agency to develop a plan to increase Bohn and Dawson business in each territory. Define the company strategy to help the sales agencies achieve their sales goals and marketing goals to coordinate with Bohn and Dawson.

Requirements

Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a focus on Sales and Marketing with 5 years of experience.

Knowledge: Principles and techniques of Sales and Marketing; organization administration, budgeting and profitability; engineering and manufacturing principles. Experience with Metal Tubing is preferred but not required.

Skills: Aggressive, open minded, and self-motivated; understanding of engineering and manufacturing; ability to read blueprints, understanding their implication to our business; strong foundation of common sense and good judgment; ability to apply innovation in existing manufacturing to future sales and marketing opportunities; communicating clearly and concisely.
